This small, reclining, nude female figure is reminiscent of the work of Maillol, but also reflects Gordine's admiration for Rodin. It is one in an edition of six, cast in bronze with a dark brown patina. A version of this work was exhibited as no. 13 at Gordine's solo exhibition at the Leicester Galleries, London in October 1945.
